Jimmy was not his best in 2021.
Paying Brock big money is a huge mistake. Why not just let him play out his contract and then decide?

Brock not the quick release of Jimmy, but not better just as accurate as Jimmy G. Arms are comparable.

Jimmy has a "stronger" arm, it's not a plus trait for either. He's not as accurate downfield. Brock is by far more athletic and better inside/outside the pocket. He can actually extend plays and is more accurate on the move out of structure.

Jimmy was more accurate imo on those short/intermediate throws when everything was in rhythm. Inside the pocket timing passes. Neither has amazing mechanics. Yes Jimmy has a quick release.

I'll take Brock over Jimmy all day. Neither imo are elite level QBs. All QBs are dependent of scheme and talent around them, some more so and they both fall under that.

Because if he kills it next year, he's going to be even more expensive. Duh?

Would be great for us, but highly doubt Purdy and his agent will go for it. I think he would hold out and then we would have the first ever 7th round pick hold out lol.

Our big mistakes are the Deebo, Aiyuk and Hargrave contracts. Overpaying for a good qb isn't a mistake. It's incredibly hard to find a good qb. Teams go 30 years sometimes without a qb. Could be John and Kyle if they didn't luck out with the last pick

I mean objectively we should all agree he's better than Jimmy.

He's a solid starting QB in the NFL imo. he's gonna be massively overpaid and that's the problem.

You always advocate players maximizing their market value without repercussions......you were never concerned about overpaying players.....like BA...

Our biggest mistake was missing on Lance. Otherwise, we won't be in this situation.

You got a point, Shanny and his buddy the GM, got some explaining to do. Your starting to hear the whispers from fans that it's getting to that time pretty soon. Eight years is a long timre.

The entire QB classes in 2021 AND 2022 were busts besides Purdy. Taking someone else over Lance wouldn't have done anything.

If Lance had been doing everything Purdy has done we'd all be saying he's the franchise guy. There is a crazy perspective shift when a QB gets drafted late vs in the 1st round. Nobody would be crapping on Purdy's 2nd year starter growing pains if he had been selected 3rd overall.

Oh, so I got it now. I'm wrong, our biggest mistake wasn't drafting Lance, it was hiring Shanny and Lynch.

Could still get Justin Fields.
